MARKHARA MAR is a small jewellery label based in San Diego, California. We make six pieces — three necklaces and three earrings — in 18k gold vermeil over sterling silver and solid 925 silver, sold online in the United States.
What we make
Three necklaces from 16 to 32 inches, and three earrings: a 25 mm hinged hoop, a 38 mm filigree drop and a 5 mm stud. Each comes in three finishes and one size, and every product page states length, width, metal and closure.
Vermeil, sterling and plating
Vermeil is a layer of gold — 2.5 microns here — over 925 sterling silver, not a brass core with a flash of plating. The solid sterling pieces (the Fine Pendant Necklace) can be polished back to bright indefinitely; vermeil cannot, which is why we replate it free within 12 months. Everything is nickel-free and hallmarked 925.
Where we ship from
All orders leave our own shelf in San Diego, California, handed to the carrier within 1–2 business days. Standard delivery in the contiguous US takes 3–6 business days and is free over $75.
Our commitments
- Chain length, tube width and drop published on every product page in inches and millimetres.
- Vermeil described as vermeil — 2.5 microns over 925 silver, with the plating thickness stated.
- Free replating within 12 months, at-cost after that, on every vermeil piece.
- 30-day returns on unworn pieces in the original box; earrings are hygiene-restricted once worn.
